| Description | This interesting scenic paper came from the Franklin Parish of St. Mary's Louisiana. It was found in the attic of a New England home where it was carefully preserved in an old trunk. On the back of the original was printed the April 9, 1863 issue of the "Weekly Junior Register." Paper was so short during the war that Southern editors often resorted to this expedient for printing news. |
