CollectionThomas Strahan (pre-1975)
CategoryHistoric Reproductions
DescriptionHere is a decidedly French paper created during the reign of Louis XVI and the halcyon days of the French court. Wall decorations were given particular emphasis during this period of lavish expenditure and high living. The paper was discovered in a New York museum of old papers, which accounts for the name, "Gotham."
