| Description | In 1752, Col. Benjamin Bellows founded the town of Walpole, New Hampshire. From one of the oldest houses in this charming country town came the original of this quaint design. Undoubtedly of very early manufacture, it was printed on dark gray paper without any ground color being applied. It combines a New England primness with the grace and delicacy of the classicism of Sheraton and Hepplewhite. |
